I'm Gillian Driscoll, founder and owner of Sound Dessert Consulting. I launched Sound Dessert Consulting in 2013 to aid musicians in telling their stories and foster meaningful connections with music fans.
Through digital marketing, creative content development, tailored events and brand partnerships, I bring stories to life and foster authentic and lasting relationships within the digital media landscape.
Sound Dessert Consulting grew from the music blog Sound Dessert, which showcases the best of emerging artists in the indie pop and rock world. Offline, Sound Dessert has hosted artist showcases in NYC and Austin’s SXSW.
Owner Gillian Driscoll has a B.S. in Communication from Boston University and spent her initial post-grad days at Central Park Summer Stage. Helping plan the 25th Anniversary season, Gillian successfully pitched Raphael Saadiq, Hercules and Love Affair and Basia Bulat to the music programming. Following her stint at Summer Stage, Gillian served as the Communications Director at the independent label, Motéma Music. Three years later she quit her job and moved to the music – and entrepreneur – capital of the world, Austin, TX, to launch Sound Dessert Consulting. In 2017 she moved to Los Angeles to continue fostering her growing business.
Since launching Sound Dessert Consulting, Gillian has worked with a range of artists and music industry affiliates on their digital marketing campaigns and events including Culture Collide, Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp, Citygram Magazine, Cowboy Diplomacy, Culture Wars, The Mrs and many more.
Gillian is also a committee member of shesaid.so Los Angeles and shesaid.so LA Radio.
